The One Thing That Changed My Spiritual Growth

Hey [FIRST NAME GOES HERE],

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the role community plays in spiritual growth, especially in seasons when God is stretching us, calling us forward, and inviting us to grow in ways we didn’t even realize we needed.

For the past few years, I’ve been part of an online community that has deeply impacted my life and calling. Every person in that space is a believer, but more than that, they are believers actively responding to God’s call through writing, leadership, business ownership, and spiritual growth. What’s powerful is that these people entered my life right around the time God was beginning to grow me in those same areas, often before I fully understood what I needed.

They live all across the country, yet they are some of the people who influence my life the most on a daily basis. We talk regularly. We encourage one another. We pray, process, and walk through real life together. Our connection is rooted in a shared love for God, His people, and a desire to steward our callings well.

Looking back, I can clearly see God’s hand on so many of the conversations and moments of growth that came out of that community.

That experience is a big part of why I created my Word & Seed: Deeper Roots Bible Community.

My heart has always been to help people move beyond surface-level engagement and into deeper connection. Patreon is a space where we don’t just consume content, we build relationships and grow together as we pursue God. I help create the environment, but the wisdom and encouragement come from the community itself.

If you’re ready for a deeper relationship with God, but also need accountability and genuine connection, I invite you to join my private community on Patreon. This is a space to ask questions, gain more clarity, and strengthen our faith–together. Membership includes live Biblical teachings, interactive gatherings rooted in prayer and conversation, study resources, and more. This is for women seeking support and encouragement on their journey with the Lord. Walk with us as we grow in God, one step at a time.

With you in the Word,

Hey [FIRST NAME GOES HERE], Welcome to our final week of Do Whatever He Says. Over the past two weeks, we’ve watched Jesus move in powerful ways. In Week 1, we saw how simple obedience positioned the servants for a miracle. In Week 2, we were reminded that our role is not to create the miracle, but to faithfully do what Jesus asks and trust Him with the results. Now, in this final week, we pause at the outcome. Keep reading to see what this final moment reveals and how God may be calling you...

Hey [FIRST NAME GOES HERE], Welcome to Week 2 of Do Whatever He Says. Last week, as we concluded our fast on Sunday, we were reminded that worship and intimacy with God are not separate from obedience; they actually fuel it. That is the heart behind this three-week Do Whatever He Says series. As our intimacy with Him deepens, our hearts become more responsive to His voice and more willing to do whatever He says. In Week 1 of our Do Whatever He Says devotional series, we shifted our...

Hey Reader, These Weekend in the Word emails have quietly become some of my favorites to send. There’s something about intentionally preparing to pause. To sit with Jesus. To slow the swirl of the week and let the Word settle in. It helps me enter the weekend with purpose, and I pray it’s doing the same for you. This weekend, I’m looking forward to wrapping up the book of Job. It’s a book I’ve read many times, but this time, the Lord has been showing me something deeper—not just about Job’s...
