Will You Trust God?

Hey Reader,

Welcome to our final week of Do Whatever He Says.

Over the past two weeks, we’ve watched Jesus move in powerful ways. In Week 1, we saw how simple obedience positioned the servants for a miracle. In Week 2, we were reminded that our role is not to create the miracle, but to faithfully do what Jesus asks and trust Him with the results.

Now, in this final week, we pause at the outcome.

Keep reading to see what this final moment reveals and how God may be calling you to take your next step.

Do Whatever He Says Devotional (Pt. 3)

In John 2:10, there is a final moment that I want to highlight to you. It’s something powerful that the master of ceremonies says that I don't want us to miss. When the wine was received, He said to the bridegroom, "A host always serves the best wine first... but you have kept the best until now." If we ponder this a little for a moment, we realize that this isn't just about winemaking – this encounter with Jesus invites us into a deeper understanding of his nature and character. Three things in particular stand out:

1. He hears our needs

2. His timing is perfect

3. His provision exceeds expectations

Although the servants couldn't control when the miracle would happen or the quality of the wine, they could control whether they would choose to obey his unusual and unexplained request.

And what was the outcome? Not just any wine, but the best wine. Not just a little wine, but an abundance of it! This is how God works – He doesn't just meet needs, He exceeds them. He doesn't just solve problems, He transforms situations into something better than we could imagine.

As servants of God today, we're invited into the same kind of partnership those first servants experienced. We get to set up miracles through our prayers and obedience. We get to reveal His work through our testimony. And just like at that wedding, we get to trust His timing and His extraordinary provision.

Remember – Jesus could have done it all by Himself, but He chose to include servants in the process. Right now, He's choosing to include you and me in what He wants to do on earth. What an incredible privilege!

Final Prayer: Lord, help us embrace our role as Your servants, ready to obey Your instructions and trust Your timing. Thank You for choosing to include us in Your work on earth. Give us the courage to be faithful in setting up and revealing Your miracles, while trusting You to do what only You can do. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Hey Reader, Welcome to Week 2 of Do Whatever He Says. Last week, as we concluded our fast on Sunday, we were reminded that worship and intimacy with God are not separate from obedience; they actually fuel it. That is the heart behind this three-week Do Whatever He Says series. As our intimacy with Him deepens, our hearts become more responsive to His voice and more willing to do whatever He says. In Week 1 of our Do Whatever He Says devotional series, we shifted our perspective from simply...

Hey Reader, These Weekend in the Word emails have quietly become some of my favorites to send. There’s something about intentionally preparing to pause. To sit with Jesus. To slow the swirl of the week and let the Word settle in. It helps me enter the weekend with purpose, and I pray it’s doing the same for you. This weekend, I’m looking forward to wrapping up the book of Job. It’s a book I’ve read many times, but this time, the Lord has been showing me something deeper—not just about Job’s...

Hey Reader, There are moments in Scripture that invite us to slow down and pay attention, not to the miracle itself, but to the obedience that made room for it. That’s why I’m inviting you into this 3-week devotional journey, Do Whatever He Says. This journey is an invitation to move from observing what God is doing to actively responding to what He is saying. To release the pressure of making things happen and instead trust that obedience creates space for God to work. As we begin Week One,...
