Hey Reader,

“Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”

—John 17:17

Here’s something most Christians don’t like to admit:

It’s often easier to think about the Lord, talk about Him, fellowship with others, or even pray—than it is to consistently open our Bibles.

Why? Because reading the Word requires something deeper.

It takes focus. Intentionality. Planning.

It demands that we shut down the noise, remove distractions, and create space for stillness and silence.

Spending time in the Word often begins as a discipline before it becomes a desire. But if we want to know God deeply, we must know His heart.

And we learn His heart through His Word.

The depth of your knowledge of God will be determined by the consistency of your time with Him. It doesn’t always have to be a deep study session to experience this depth.

Maybe this weekend is just about learning who Jesus is. His heart. His rhythm. His personality.

Derek Prince once said, “When we read the Word, the Word reads us.”

What a powerful truth to embrace.

So here’s your holy invitation:

Light your favorite candle. Grab a journal and your Bible. Sit with the Word.

Let it read you. Let it shape you. Let it draw you closer to the One who loves you most.
