Building Unshakeable Faith (Pt.3)

Building Unshakeable Faith (Part 3)

Hey Reader,

Today, I want to talk about perhaps the most overlooked aspect of unshakeable faith: the power of our spoken agreements.

Job 22:28 declares, "You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways." This scripture reveals a profound truth: our words and agreements have the power to either fortify or undermine our faith.

Let me share a personal story that transformed my understanding of this principle. For years, I struggled with maintaining a healthy weight. While losing weight came easily, keeping it off seemed impossible. One day, God revealed how this struggle connected to a casual agreement I'd made years earlier in college. When a classmate complimented my weight loss ability, I responded, "Yes, but I wish I was good at keeping it off." Those words, spoken without much thought, created a negative agreement that affected me for years.

The breakthrough came when God prompted me to renounce or break that agreement. After doing so, I lost thirty pounds and, by His grace, have maintained a healthy weight since. This experience taught me something crucial: whenever we consistently encounter barriers in areas where we should be progressing, we need to examine our spiritual agreements.

Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." Every declaration we make either aligns with God's kingdom or establishes agreement with darkness. When our agreements oppose God's truth, we often find our faith weakening in the very areas in which He wants to strengthen us.

So, as we wrap up this final day, I want you to consider what agreements you have made that might be affecting your faith journey. How can you align your words more closely with God's truth?

Final Prayer: Father, thank You for revealing how seasons, assignments, and agreements work together to build unshakeable faith. Give me discernment to recognize my season, courage to walk in our authority, and wisdom to speak words that align with Your truth. I break any and all agreements I have made through my words and ask that you would reveal any way that I have partnered with the lie of the enemy instead of the truth of your word. Strengthen my faith as I partner with Your purposes. In Jesus' name, Amen.
